Studio Policies

1. NO outdoor or dirty shoes — Please clean shoes used for photoshoots. Wear socks; the floor can get cold.

2. Furniture & Props   

Bonita: Please do not drag furniture inside Bonita. The textured floor can damage both the furniture and the floor. Always lift large items with two or more people

Loom: Sliding furniture is allowed in Loom, but please move furniture gently. All pieces have felt pads to help protect the floor.

All furniture and props must remain inside the studios. No furniture or props may be removed without written permission from MUZE.

3. Please clean up spills immediately to protect and preserve the longevity of the space.

4. No loud music — The building is not soundproof. Please be mindful of other tenants in the building.

5. Prohibited items — No alcohol, vapes, smoke bombs, fog/haze machines, incense, open flames, candles, glitter, confetti, or hard-to-clean props. The space is not well ventilated, and smells can leak into the hallway. Please refrain from using any of these items during your stay.

6. Your reservation starts and ends at the booked time - Rental time begins promptly at the specified starting time and ends promptly at the specified ending time, regardless of any delays by the renter or their party. 

Please note that you cannot enter the studio until your reserved time begins. Please allow sufficient time for setup and cleanup to avoid incurring overtime fees.

7. There is an overtime fee — A fee of $25 PER 5-MINUTE INCREMENT will be applied immediately after 1 minute mark. 

7A.  If we need to assist with cleaning and organizing the studio for the next reservation, a wrap-up fee and overtime fee will be applied.

7B. To extend your session, text us at least 15 minutes before your end time. Requests made after your session ends will be charged as overtime, not as an extension.

8. Return furniture and props to their original locations — You are welcome to move any furniture and décor during your shoot, unless stated otherwise. Please handle all studio items with care.

9. Clean up after your session — Please allocate time for both setup and clean up. We provide hand sanitizer, all purpose cleaner spray, paper towels, a broom, and a dust pan for your convenience. Feel free to use these supplies as needed.

10. Put all trash and recycling in the appropriate bins — If you have a significant amount of trash and recycling materials, please dispose of them in the designated bins located in the hallways of the building. 

11. No food or liquids on the furniture — You're welcome to bring your own bedding for the queen size mattress inside Bonita. Please use coasters for your drinks

12. No Body Oils or Perfume/Cologne — Body oils can leave stains that are difficult to remove from furniture and walls.  If stains or lingering scents from perfume or cologne delay the next booking, a cleaning or disruption fee may be charged accordingly.

13. Before leaving — Turn off all lights and lock the door.

14. Security cameras – Audio/video cameras are in common areas (not in dressing rooms) to help monitor safety, damage, theft, overtime, and policy violations.

15. No wagons, strollers, or heavy equipment freshly rolled from outside beyond the door mat — A cleaning fee applies if scuff marks are found.

15A. Clean the wheels on your photography light stands. This helps eliminate scuff marks on the floor. 

16. No tapes, decals, hooks, nails, or shoes on walls — Let’s keep the walls clean for everyone..

17. You are responsible to inform your group about the house rules and policies.

18. Doors access — We’ll open the door for the first person in your group. After that, it’s your responsibility to let in the rest of your guests. For mini sessions, please plan accordingly, as staff won’t be opening the door for each guest.


Payment, Additional Fees, and Damages

- FULL payment is required to reserve the studio.
- Additional time not billed during booking will be due at the end of your rental period.
- A $100 minimum cleaning fee applies to excessively dirty studios. This may vary based on condition.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

- All reservations and payments are final. No refunds.
- One complimentary reschedule allowed within 45 days of your original session date.
- Reschedules must be requested at least 3 days in advance.
- A $50 fee applies to reschedules within the 3-day window.
- Only one reschedule is allowed per booking.
- No same-day reschedules allowed — your session will be forfeited.

Liability Waiver & Release

By entering MUZE artspaces (Loom and Bonita), you accept the risks of being on the premises, including but not limited to potential injury, damage, or loss of personal property.

MUZE Artspace is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages during your visit. This includes incidents involving equipment, furniture, or the physical environment.

You assume full responsibility for your own safety and that of any minors or guests. MUZE Studios is not responsible for personal items left behind, lost, or damaged during your time in the studio.

Helpful Reminders & Recommendations

- Please arrive dressed and ready if possible to maximize your booked time.
- Leave time for cleanup to avoid overtime fees.
- Tag us on social media! We'd love to see your work.
- If you have any special requests (like backdrop setup or prop use), please contact us ahead of time.
